Star Refutes Anti-Vax Position After Voicing Contentious Coronavirus Documentary

The acclaimed actor has provided his voice to a new documentary that questions the efficacy of immunizations and lauds ex- cabinet secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Feature's Contentious Foundation

Called "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is adapted from a popular book published by Judy Mikovits, who became famous during the pandemic for allegations that the virus was caused by a faulty batch of the influenza shot.

The publication's collaborator, Kent Heckenlively, has also written books with conspiracy-prone figure Alex Jones. Heckenlively recently posted hailing Neeson's role in the documentary.

A Strong Rebuttal

Representatives for the actor have issued a statement pushing back against suggestions that he supports anti-vaccine sentiments.

"Many understand that unethical practices can exist within the drug industry, but that cannot be confused with rejection of vaccines," the comment explains. "Liam is not, and cannot be described as, anti-vax. His considerable work with the UN children's agency underscores his enduring support for global immunisation initiatives."

The response noted that the star did not shape the project's narrative and that concerns about its content are best addressed to the filmmakers.

Major Claims In the Feature

In the film, the script provided by Neeson makes several controversial points:

  • It claims that pro-vaccine voices have insisted on "complete compliance" to government bodies.
  • It declares that "research has become deeply politicised."
  • RFK Jr is interviewed stating, "The major issue with vaccines is that they simply are not properly vetted."
  • The narration further attacks Covid lockdowns, claiming they caused psychological harm that cost thousands of lives.
  • Concerning the immunizations, it references a perspective that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Previous Controversy and Recent Disputes

The documentary also references a past television report about AIDS medication trials on children, which was later the focus of a BBC apology by the broadcaster for violations of guidelines.

In recent weeks, RFK Jr called on the Centers for Disease Control to alter its longstanding position that there is no link between immunizations and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is also referenced in the documentary, even with a new report from the World Health Organisation reiterating no connection has been found.

An Earlier Position of Endorsement

Standing in contrast to the documentary's tone, Neeson has previously expressed clear advocacy for vaccines in his capacity as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

Previously, he called vaccines as "an incredible human success story," noting that "The conversation about vaccines in lately has overlooked how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in our history."

The documentary concludes with Neeson's voice stating, "This marks not the end of our story. This is the dawn of a fresh chapter."
