Iran Reports Assault on American Facility in Bahrain, As Part of Regional Counterattacks.
Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Bahrain, as Iran launched missile attacks throughout the Middle East in response for a "massive" and continuing assault targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone near the main base of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The full scale of any impact is unclear and the United States has remained silent.
Regional Interceptions
Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - which all house American military installations - reported they have shot down missiles in their airspace.
In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry stated it had successfully engaged several missiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the region.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was striking American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the strikes on the Islamic Republic launched by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.
That preceding assault - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far targeted areas associated with the the regime, with President Trump calling on the people of Iran to revolt against the leadership.

In Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israeli military reported it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the UAE announced that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems dealt with the missiles with notable success and successfully intercepted a several projectiles," the statement continued.
The statement noted missile fragments landed in a neighborhood in the capital, causing some material damage and the death of one civilian.
The US Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
