The United Kingdom is prepared to move forward with utilizing the full worth of seized Russia's funds to aid the Ukrainian defense operations, PM Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a shared declaration, the leaders of the United Kingdom, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany asserted that this joint measure would increase strain on Russian President Vladimir Putin and urge the Russian Federation to participate in talks.

They clarified that the decision would be implemented in tight collaboration with the America.

British restrictions have immobilized more than £25bn of Russian funds since Russia began its comprehensive attack against Ukraine in 2022. However, until now, funds provided to the Ukrainian government using Russian holdings had solely been sourced from earnings and returns accrued on them.

Sir Keir informed Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky that the UK, the French Republic, and Germany were united in their aim to advance efforts toward employing the full value of the immobilized Moscow's national assets to end the war.

He stated that more restrictions soon would increase the strain on Moscow.

This declaration is subsequent to EU leaders met in the Danish capital previously to consider utilizing immobilized Russia's assets for a €140 billion financial aid to the Ukrainian nation.

Last month, US President Donald Trump called on international partners to confiscate or utilize frozen Russia's funds, according to reports.

Moscow executed large-scale aerial attacks throughout the Ukrainian territory on Friday, resulting in power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the city, and several other zones.
